Welcome To TeenCentral.Net Training,

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to take this training seriously.  This training is in 3 separate parts and you must finish each section in order to move on to the next section. 

Section One:  This section focuses on introducing you to TeenCentral.Net.  This is the section that is available to everyone and it is important for you to know and understand this section so that you may refer teens back to this section when the need arises.  You will be required to complete a quiz when you finish this section so please pay careful attention.  The results of this quiz will be sent to the Director and you will not be permitted to begin your volunteer/intern experience until you successfully complete each section.

Section Two:  This section teaches you how we counsel on TeenCentral.Net.  This explains what is important and how we help teens. Please pay attention; you might even want to take some notes.  Upon completion you will be expected to pass another quiz.  Once again, the results will be sent to the Director.

Section Three: This section teaches you about ParentCentral.Net. Please pay attention; you might even want to take some notes.  Upon completion you will be expected to pass another quiz.  Once again, the results will be sent to the Director.

Section Four :  You will walk through the Administration section of the site.  This will take what you have learned in section two and show you how to put it into practice on the site.  There is no quiz after this section.  However, you will need to contact the Director of TeenCentral.Net upon completion of this section.  The Director of TeenCentral.Net will review all your work and if you have successfully passed the first three quizzes, you will be registered on the site and directions will be sent for you to complete a trial story.

A trial story is a real story with a real problem from a real teen.  You are to follow all the directions sent to you and utilize all you have learned.  Please feel free to go back and review any of the trainings or to use the online manual.

Please do not let fear keep you from pursuing the opportunity to become an online counselor.  Remember, we will help you to succeed if you do your part and complete the training.

Please be aware of the time commitment to this site.  You are expected to give 2 hours, twice a week.  We expect our volunteers to be online on their scheduled days.  You may split your hours or go on different times of the day each week, as long as you either put in your total of 2 hours a day or if there are no stories to do, send the Director an email.
