Stuff Going On

Teen Stories

aaliyahxx, 19

I feel like nothing is going right. My love interest/bestfriend is going to the military in 9 days. One of my close friends just went to the army. I lost one of my friends to a stupid arguement weeks ago and even though I tried to fix it and talk it out, they didn't want to. She thinks I don't want her to be happy just because I give her realistic advice instead of letting her look stupid when she's going to do something bad. I just lost another friend now and I don't have any idea why. She just blocked me on all social media and hasn't responded to my texts. We've been close ever since birth because she is a family friend. I've tried to talk to her as well and she keeps ignoring me. I'm starting the semester soon and I feel stressed and empty. Like nothing is going right and I need to get away. I don't know how I'm going to handle my next semester. I also don't know what I'm going to do with my free time since I have no friends.

Whats it Mean ?

  • aaliyahxx, understand that reaching out for help is one of the first steps to solving a problem and that you are very brave for doing so.
  • Know that different people experience different emotions at different points in their lives, and that has an effect on their relationships. Sometimes you just have to let these things run its course. You have reached out many times without response. You did the best you possibly could.
  • Sometimes people don't appreciate honesty for what it is, even if it can benefit them. Even though it's upsetting, all you can do now is wait for her to respond.
  • In the meantime, do not stress about what she may be thinking or if you could do more. Instead, think about future goals you may have.
