Stuff Going On

Teen Stories

stevo, 16

Tonight I was talking to my friends, and one of them was mad at me because I went to the park. Then, I didn't hear my phone go off, and I called her back and she was like, what now...you answer your phone? I was like, sorry...and she said, no you are fake, and I'm not. I am a true friend to her. So, her boyfriend and I met her at our apartments and she keeps on going on about her issues, and how I never want to hang with them. I do hang with them, almost everyday. She claims I don't, but then her boyfriend even brings up the times that we are hanging out and she's not even outside, but she keeps getting mad at us for no reason. Yes, you're going to tell me to talk to her about it, but that doesn't work because I've done that multiple times, and I don't know what else to do because I continue to be a good friend to her, but don't know what else to do to make her see. Please help me.

Whats it Mean ?

  • stevo, you're not alone. Many friendships can be complicated, and no matter how much effort you put into them, it seems as if they are getting nowhere when it comes to various issues, but don't give up.
  • You could try finding other ways to make her feel more involved, and like you are all getting together more than she feels you are.
  • You could talk about various issues that may be going on that she's avoiding, as that could be part of why she's dragging out this issue as a coverup rather than facing the real issue at hand.
  • You can try seeing if she needs more than a friend right now, and that doesn't mean relationship wise, as she has a boyfriend, but maybe a better support system besides just a friend.
