No, I can't tell my parents, it will never happen. I looked at eating disorders and the closest match was anorexia. I have taken online quizzes that say I have anorexia. How can I tell though? What are some signs? What should I do? How do I find out if I have it?

Whats it Mean ?

  • Solost4ever, asking questions about something as serious as an eating disorder is a step in the right direction.
  • It may be best if you try and either talk to a school nurse or your personal doctor. Having a possible eating disorder can not only negatively affect you physically but negatively. It will be much more effective if you talk to a health professional than to try and self-diagnose it yourself.
  • There are some helpful resources online that describe anorexia and its symptoms. However, they will not be able to provide you information on the source of your possible disorder and effective treatment. Also, anorexia may be co-morbid with other possible psychological diseases or symptoms.
  • Try and track what you have been eating and when. This may be a useful tool for you to use to track what you're eating and to provide additional information to health professionals. This may enable them to accurately diagnose a possible eating disorder.
  • It can be scary, but try and focus on being a good student, a good daughter, and friend. Try and focus on things you can control and develop goals to accomplish them. If you need help there are guidance counselors and teachers at school, family members to consult, and friends to keep up with and be loyal to.
What the experts say.
